There are great photographs out there, but I wondered, whether it was possible to take the everyday mundane photos and make them look exceptional. Hope you enjoy them. Click to enlarge each image, WP has made it better now, woot!.

Kia ora – ( greetings Maori )

“We dream of flying because we want to be free. Now imagine all those, just like you, are wishing to fly. The world is big, but we just make it small.”

First, I must do a memory clearance. Quizoxy awarded me the versatile award ages ago and I totally forgot. So a BIG THANKS to him/her and I will follow up on it sometime. I found the photo below whilst looking through my folders, it is related to an image I drew, you can read more about it here. Click me. Chantele, the owner of the model agency wanted to use the image including an animation I did. Not sure if she ever used it, but it looks like the image was used on some biscuits!. Wonder how?????. I also joined twitter, some cool stuff to read on it. Join me or visa versa.

The rest of the images are just some test renders I have been working on. I wonder if anyone can understand what the last images is suppose to show.

thanks and enjoy. :)

Osiyo ( greeting in Cherokee. )

I know this is late and I was actually trying to come with something for Valentines day, but my mind was blank. So for the sake of creativity I will declare the heart picture a belated valentines gift too all the people who are still holding on to humanity.:)

The rest, are the sweets that I will consume all by my self. :) It is also interesting to see how post production can increase color excitement in images. Enjoy :)

valentineThis last picture is to reflect what will happen once I finish all the sweets. :( . My brother took this image and I did Post production on it to bring out the color.

Black & White in the Snow.

Hello

“When the Wise speak we laugh, when the Devil sings we follow.”

It has been snowing in Europe this week, so my brother and I decided to test his new Canon out. I never realized that a short distance from our house would lead us into a nature reserve. Apart from our naughty exploits, we managed to take a few hundred images, testing various settings. We headed out early in the morning, hoping we could take some sunrise shots but the weather decided not to grant our wishes. Still a beginner at photography some of the images came out blueish, I think this was due to early morning sky light. I converted the images to Black and White, considering there isn’t much color in a snowy landscape. Seriously there isn’t!. I left one color, for comparison. :)

Thanks. Enjoy :)

as-salām ‘alaykum ( greeting Arabic = denotes Peace )

We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion.
Max de Pree

Tone and Value is something that when understood can bring quality to a picture. Starting with the degrees of value between black and white, we try and work out the intensity or levels depending on the relationship with the light.  A good image is when the light and shadows have been captured correctly to give the illusion of a three dimensional object. ” Tone really represents the volume and mass of form, and the space between solid things. “

Here are some studies below that I have done to learn more about tones. It sounded easy at first until I started to convert color images into gray-scale!.:)

p.s Apologies if the above lacks depth, it is a large subject for me and will share more, once understood. Thanks :)

Chichipa (Ririo)

If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed. Einstein

I came across the recently published London Olympic posters and I thought like many %%$^%$^%*%^*%, yes, I did!. I liked two of them but I expected something great. You can Google them and see for your self. They have all been sold out and seeing how much they were priced, I can say some people must have been darn happy. So I figured let me do some too!. Anyone wants to buy them for 350 stirling!!! for a print like the ones mentioned before. haha I think…

I also realised if one is “famous” then giving meaning to a line on paper has some weight, I wonder if my versions hold any weight? or rather do they work?  Whether they do or not hope you enjoy them.

Still have a few to finish, will post them later.
