I only wish that ordinary people had an unlimited capacity for doing harm; then they might have an unlimited power for doing good.

Hello
Going to share some concepts of book cover designs that I did a few weeks back. I am just showing a few mix of designs as there were too many ideas flying around hoping it keeps the observer alert. Lately I am moving towards minimalism, not sure why, I suppose we have stages where we are trying to see things clearly and it reflects in our work. The best words to describe it would be simplicity with clarity.
I doubt the second one fits the description but the brief title had a reflection of chaos.
The ballerina’s body came good however her face lacks feeling. Possibility of fixing the face was there but it was just a concept. Sometimes we just have to move on.
Thanks
Hope you enjoy them. 🙂
Hi, all of them are pretty good, but i think the first one is the best! It would make me curious enough to pick the book in a bookstore..
Thank you, although the client did not see it that way. 🙂
well we have different tastes .. but i like that anyway — i suppose clients always want something else..? 😉
True, however I would put clients into two positions. The risk takers who want to be unique and different and the safety netters who want to follow what they have seen another brand do. But still there is always an issue of “name”. If the yellow one was made by someone “known” then the client would be happy to accept it even it was a poor choice as they will associate the design to the “famous” person. Still Art and Design is a technical subject. 🙂
